Never Work

Stamp with text, ink and potential

2013

Never Work is a stamp that takes up a sentence from the International Situationists. They had used the french version of it, “Ne travaillez jamais”, in Paris in 1969. In current times of constant working and performance pressure, the objective is to reactivate the sentence by translating the sentence into five different languages and making a stamp out of it. The stamp was used for a performance during the opening night at the exhibition 0 Performance-The Fragile Beauty Of Crisis, during the 5th Moscow Biennale. After that the stamp remains in the exhibition and the visitors can use it.
